Working with a global client, we successfully managed the consolidation of a predefined amount of the clients Intel-based servers from NT4/W2K server to VMWare ESX. The project successfully managed to consolidate 108 physical servers onto 18 virtual servers. The project consisted of:

• Management of downtime

• Migration of applications onto virtual servers

• IP address changes and the management of this impact on the applications and their associated dependencies

• Decommissioning of the “old “ servers.
